Chronic pain and fatigue
Health and Wellbeing Coaching for EDS, Fibromyalgia and chronic pain sufferers
If you suffer from a chronic condition that causes pain or fatigue then it is reasonable to find physical activity difficult to begin or keep up. This can be especially frustrating when you are told (quite correctly) that movement is one of the best practices for improving the symptoms of pain, fatigue, depression and anxiety.
Whether you have been left "up in the air" with a recommendation to exercise, or completed a course of physiotherapy and are wondering where to go next - too well for physio, not well enough for mainstream fitness - I can help.
I have extensive experience coaching people with chronic pain. I use an evidence based approach of movement, nutrition, targeted recovery and mindset. I am always led by my client, we work together to find what is best for you.

My story
As a person with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, I have spent my lifetime trying to find ways to move better, eat better and take care of myself so as to relieve my symptoms.
As a health coach I have been able to apply my lived experience to my specialist fitness, lifestyle and nutrition training to support others in similar circumstances.
I'm committed to helping you get stronger, healthier and happier.
What can a coach do for a client with pain or fatigue?
It is a key part of my job as a coach to discover my clients' barriers to health and support them in overcoming them. Sometimes those barriers are things like discomfort in a gym environment, a dislike of exercise after a bad PE class experience at school, eating for reasons other than hunger or an old injury. For a few the barrier might be pain, constant exhaustion or fear of injury.
I understand and respect those limitations, and I want to help you find your way past them.
While movement is highly therapeutic for chronic pain sufferers, I am not offering a cure or therapy - I will refer clients to appropriate health professional where necessary - I am offering a safe, appropriate way to access movement for general health and wellbeing, taking your medical needs into account as I do with every client.
